Etomethazene or 5-methyl Etodesnitazene is an opioid analgesic of the benzimidazole class, a structural analogue of etonitazene, with the difference of methyl substitution for R4, there are no alkyl groups listed in R3 and R4, the phenyl ring in the lower right corner has 2 carbon molecules removed by nitrogen, there is also nitrogen on R5 or R6. This drug has a high opioid potency, 120 times stronger than morphine. Etomethazene can cause opioid addiction, tolerance to the drug is growing rapidly, vomiting and respiratory depression are possible at high dosages.
