Troparil or (-) – 2β-carbomethoxy-3β-phenyltropane, WIN 35,065-2, β-CPT) – a strong stimulating chemical Troparil. Troparil is part of the phenylthropane group, it is much more powerful than cocaine, as an inhibitor of dopamine reuptake, but less potent as a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, and has a duration of several times more action, since the phenyl ring is directly connected to the tropane, and not through hydrolysable carbon -carbon bond. Because of the lack of an ether link, there is no local anesthetic effect, so Troparil is a pure stimulant. Because of this, Troparil was slightly less cardiotoxic than cocaine. The most commonly used form of Troparil is tartrate salt, but hydrochloride and sulfate salts are also available. Troparil is similar to cocaine and has all its effects.
